Alissa Joy Steffens, Known professionally as Alissa Steffens, is a Music Industry Professional, Vocal Performer, Songwriter, Vocal Producer, Vocal Coach, Acting & Speaking Coach and Mentor. In 1985, at the age of 5, Alissa began singing solos at her church in West Michigan. Alissa came from a musical family and also had a close family friend that was a Nashville Recording Artist and Songwriter. He encouraged Alissa to pursue her dreams. Her childhood and teen years were spent leading worship and singing solos at church, being in theatre productions, taking Hip Hop Dance, Cheerleading, winning talent shows and singing Pop Solos all over Michigan. In 1997, Alissa released her first Album at age 17, entitled 'Alissa'. In 1998, she sang for her High School graduation.

She then attended Music College at Grace Christian University in Grand Rapids, MI where she studied Voice, the Music Industry, Christian Music, Commercial Music, Engineering, Songwriting, Electronic Music, etc. She also, joined multiple bands ('Heart's Desire' in 1999 and "Encounter' 2000), released more solo albums-'The Journey' in 2000 and 'Dreams' in 2002 and also, toured the state.

In 2002, she Graduated and followed her heart to Nashville. She started an internship on Music Row at the Songwriters Guild of America and took place in fundraiser on Music Row. (over Million dollars was raised for St Jude Children's Research Hospital) In 2003 she finished her MA in Music (Grace Christian University/Belmont University) and also, worked at both the Dove Awards and the CMA's. From 2002-2007, She trained with top industry vocal coaches in Nashville and worked with various Music Industry Professionals(Pro Songwriters, Producers, Vocal Artists, Publishers, etc.). She continued to work as a very successful Recording Studio Singer (Hired by Songwriters) and also, worked as a Songwriter 2002-2004. She sang all over Nashville and spent time in LA (in early 2004) and in 2004, this lead to being a signed as a Singer/Songwriter, releasing albums ('Legacy of Love', 'Seasons' and 'Lay it Down'), touring and having music on the radio. 'Legacy of Love' and 'Lay It Down' being a great success. Alissa became involved which such companies as NSAI, BMI, CMT, ASCAP, Feature Music label and Publishing, The Songwriters Guild of America, GMA, CMA, and many more. Alissa also, began Vocal Coaching and mentoring others with their musical goals. She not only taught Voice but also, Music Business, Songwriting, Speaking, Acting and Artist Career Planning. In 2007, Alissa obtained a job at World famous BMI-Nashville. (Music Licensing Executive-2007-2008)

In 2009, after the birth of her daughter, Alissa began working as an independent artist, released another album 'Reflections' and also became a Worship Director (Nazarene Church). Alissa continued singing, performing and writing music. In 2012, Alissa ran her own Nashville based Publishing Company-"Music Note Publishing' and focused on Vocal Coaching, Songwriting and Music Business Consulting. She has done various Songwriting, Music Business and Vocal workshops (2004-Present). In 2014, Alissa continued to perform, song write, release a single (His Name), lead worship as well as spent time in Nashville working on various personal music projects and also, student projects. In 2015, Alissa and family, made the move to the Sandestin area where she continues performing, songwriting, vocal coaching and working on various projects in Nashville. In 2017, she hosted her own music TV show called 'Vocal Sessions.' (30A.TV) as well as started a local program called Vocal Pop Academy for singers to develop their performing skills. Alissa has also lead various Songwriter, Music Business and Vocal Worshops in Sandestin/30a area, Destin and Fort Walton. Alissa has been in various magazines-Destin Log (2016), Emerald Coast Magazine, South Walton Life (2018), SoWal.com, My DestinLife.com (2016-2022) and the Nashville Voyager in (2022) as well as various local Podcasts and radio stations such as WPSM 91.1, 30A Songwriter Radio and Action Radio. Alissa and students have performed at 30A Songwriter Radio-Santa Rosa Beach, The Hub/The Big Chill-Rock the Rebuild, Rise Dance Center-Destin, Mattie Kelly in Destin, 3rd Planet-Niceville and many times at the Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin. (2016-present). Alissa has helped various students on their projects-Songwriting, Singles, Albums and Tours. She is currenly working on new music that is set to be recorded and released in Nashville, 2023. She continues to Coach both in the 30A/Sandestin area and online world wide.

Alissa's passions are people and music and she desires to give people a confident voice and a platform. Alissa not only has a MA in Music but has many years of real life experience in Music and the Nashville (and LA) Music Industry (2000-present). Alissa is a Singer, Performer, Songwriter, Producer, Music industry Professional, Mentor, Vocal Coach, Acting and Speaking Coach and has a love for all genres of music. She meets people where they are and helps them accomplish their goals. She has developed her own 'unique' coaching style and works with the beginner to the advanced vocal artist. She is involved in various student projects both locally and across the country and loves to show her support. Alissa lives full-time in Sandestin/30a area but still continues to do projects in Nashville.
