I had the opportunity to work with Alissa for a few years when I first started taking music seriously, and I can't thank her enough for the confidence she helped instill in me and the practice and accountability for growing my voice. She challenged me with a variety of vocal warmups and songs. We would always "practice like we'd play", using mics and amps to sing and really perform each song I'd practice. When I first learned how to sing, I was trained classically and learned how to perform with large chorus groups and symphonies until I graduated college where I started my solo career.
